Detailed Review of the Branx Fitness X-Fit Elliptical Cross Trainer

This is a big machine – not as heavy as the truly commercial units – though noticeably bigger than the budget range models. It is 166cms long, 66cms wide and 158cms tall at the top of the handles. At almost 60kgs, this is not a machine you will want to move too often. If you do need to move it, there are small wheels on the front bar. You can tip it up from the back and manoeuvre it into place.

What the X-Fit has plenty of is stride length. With 19.5-inch strides, this is not only suitable for taller users – it lets you ‘go for it’ by lengthening your own stride as part of your workout routine. The pedals have a non-slip surface.

There are 16 levels of magnetic resistance to work through. The big flywheel keeps them smooth and predictable. You can adjust them through the console. No need to stop and turn a plastic dial like you do with cheaper models. At the top level, even the most experienced users will get a tough high intensity workout!

Electronic Console and App Compatibility

Branx Fitness X-Fit ConsoleYou have a choice, either use the Branx X-Fit via the back-lit console, or connect via Bluetooth using the iConnect App. This will allow the more technically minded users to synch with 3rd party group apps and enjoy training or scenic views while you exercise.

This elliptical will work brilliantly via the console – so if apps are not your thing, you can still enjoy that famous Branx Fitness quality. In addition to all the regular readouts (speed, distance and so on), you get a heart rate monitor and body fat percentage calculator. The heart rate can be taken from a chest strap – which is included with the machine – or by gripping a sensor on the smaller handlebars at the front.

X-Fit by Branx Fitness: Warranty and Small Extras

Branx are well known for their quality after sales service. They also give you a better warranty than most home fitness equipment makers. This is a 2-year full parts + labour warranty, with a 5-year warranty on the frame. Keep in mind that delivery is to a downstairs room of your choice – and that assembly costs extra.

Feedback: What Buyers Said About the X-Fit Elliptical Trainer from Branx Fitness?

Hugely positive feedback for this elliptical. This fits in with the other Branx Fitness machines, with the same type of things getting mentioned across the ranges. The quality build comes in for repeated praise. What repeats over and over is the excellent service.

There is only a single 1-star review, with that person not leaving any reasons / comments as to why. A couple of people noted that assembly is not easy. This is normal enough for any type of fitness equipment – as we do vary in our practical skills.

Overall, super-solid feedback for the X-Fit – with multiple people noting that they were recommended Branx Fitness by other users.

Wrapping Up: Is the Branx Fitness X-Fit Elliptical Trainer Right for You?

This mid-budget elliptical is aimed at people who might have seen / tried the budget level home cross trainers and found them lacking.

The X-Fit sits between the commercial style elliptical trainers (for example the Sportstech LXC800) and those budget units. You get a big, solid, and reliable cross trainer with a long stride, advanced console, and app integration – all for a mid-budget price tag.

Add in the excellent service from Branx, and the long warranty, and you will see why the X-Fit is a popular option.
