Garmin Forerunner 15 GPS Running Watch Review

Garmin Forerunner 15

Summary: The budget-level Garmin ForeRunner 15 is a solid tracker with a long battery life (especially when the GPS is off) and integration with the Garmin Connect running community. You’ll get full GPS tracking, without the big price tag of the rest of the range – some great feedback for this one, you can see the full spec and picture gallery – along with that positive user feedback on the dedicated amazon.co.uk product page.

Detailed Review of the Garmin Forerunner 15 GPS Running Watch

The Forerunner 15 is an award winning running watch and activity tracker for good reason.

Easily track your speed, distance and time with the Forerunner 15, this is perfect if you have set running goals and/or are half marathon training like myself. I opted for the large face black and blue model, but they’re other choices available. A really cool feature for those of you looking to lose weight and burn calories is that the watch will count your steps and calculate calories burnt even on rest days. It will even give you a nudge on the form of an alert if you have been inactive for too long, which is great for those looking for a little help to stay motivated.

When running outdoor the watch uses GPS technology to monitor everything and this can easily uploaded online to Garmin Connect – a free online community for running enthusiasts. From there you can check out your run map, view your daily summary, share your progress with friends and other members of the community or even take part in some of the online challenges to help push you that extra mile.

The watch has rechargeable batteries that are good for around 5 weeks in tracking mode and 8 hours when using the GPS facility, so you will never be without your watch. It is also water resistant up to 50 meters, so it can cope with rain, sweat and even the odd swim.
