ProForm 900 ZLE Elliptical Cross Trainer Review

Looks like ProForm have been updating their range. The 900 ZLE is listed as unavailable – though there are two beautiful cross-trainers in the same price bracket which are worthy successors. These are the Endurance 720 E, which has it all (even a USB charging port!), and the more compact Space Saver E 600, which is super smart and won’t dominate the room in the same way that some ellipticals do. Summary: The Proform 900 ZLE is a great looking mid-range elliptical cross trainer from the popular ProForm. It is big (gym size in many ways) though does fold horizontally – between uses. You’ll get a lot of machine for your money with the mid-range price tag. This one has 20 workouts and is compatible with your smartphone. Detailed Review of the ProForm 900 ZLE Cross Trainer
This is a very nice looking mid-range elliptical from the popular ProForm brand. This machine can deliver 20 personal workouts via the 5” LCD display. Ten of which are based around monitoring calories and the other 10 are focused on weight loss. The machine is iFit Live compatible, which means if you purchase the extra subscription you can take on different courses across the globe via Google map integration as well as competing with all of the other iFit users.
The LCD display provides you with instant feedback on time elapsed, calories burnt, distance travelled, strength and heart rate via the pulse readers in the hand grips. For more comfort an optional chest strap can be purchased and used.
This is a big cross trainer, though it does fold (you can see the clever design in the folded position at amazon). Very few cross trainers fold, and most are big – so this is a real positive for those of us with space considerations. The soft touch grips, oversized pedals and an 18” stride length helps deliver a comfortable yet intense workout made more enjoyable by listening to your favourite playlists on the built in speakers via your smartphone, iPod or MP3 player.
Feedback from Current Owners
It says a lot that the only buyer that sent this machine back gave it a 4-star rating. His thoughts were that this was a great machine, though the resistance was not strong enough for him as a regular gym goer. The other buyers have been very pleased, and unless you are super-fit, there should be plenty enough resistance for you! With only 3 reviews so far it is difficult to draw too many conclusions – though words like ‘Top-Notch’ and ‘Very Pleased’ tell a decent story.
