JLL CT600 Pro Elliptical Cross Trainer Review

JLL CT600 Elliptical Cross Trainer Review

After giving the budget fitness brands a good hiding, JLL are about to crush the big commercial brands with their new CT600 Pro Elliptical.

This UK brand have a reputation for quality, and this big elliptical cross trainer takes the technical aspects to a new level. Key here is the electronic magnetic resistance. There are no dials to turn, with the resistance level controlled via the console. Add your own tablet / phone, and you can use your favourite fitness apps with the CT600 Pro.

When you keep in mind the mid-range price, you get an amazing spec for the money.

One look at the feedback from owners of JLL ellipticals will confirm that this company look after their customers brilliantly.

Detailed Review of the JLL CT600 Elliptical Cross Trainer

Let’s start with the size. This elliptical is bigger than the CT500 and CT300 machines from JLL.

It is 155cm long, 72cm wide and 178cm high to the tips of the poles. While smaller than you’ll find in a commercial gym, this is a big, solid machine. The maximum user weight is 135kgs – that is a little over 21 stone and 3 pounds.

Styling is distinctively JLL. The flywheel sits high on the frame, with black and silver colours plus a dash of red. There are transport wheels on the front – so you can wheel it around as needed.

Some assembly is required. Based on the feedback this is as easy as it gets for fitness equipment. Expert assembly is available for an additional cost.

Safety and Monitor JLL CT600

Quality Steel Build with Extra Touches

JLL use steel for the CT600 Pro – keeping the frame light and strong. It is compliant with multiple quality standards including UKCA and EN957. You get a 12-month warranty, which covers you for any manufacturing fault.

Ellipticals are famously low impact, meaning comfort is a priority. The JLL CT600 uses a track system, combining more natural movement with a smooth workout. Pedals are textured for no slips and the poles curve towards you, keeping the lower portion safely out of the way.

There are sensors on the poles – so checking your heart rate is easy while you work out.

Electronics on the JLL CT600 Pro Elliptical Cross Trainer

You get to choose which display to use on the CT600 Pro elliptical.

It has a 5.5” LED monitor built in – or you can use your own phone or tablet, connecting your favourite fitness app instead.

The monitor is backlit – making it easy to read on the move. It has an intuitive visual display. This covers time working out, your speed, distance, heart rate, calories burned and an odometer. Resistance is controlled with a simple dial below the monitor.

Bluetooth lets you connect your phone / tablet. This effectively turns your tablet into a HD console. Whether you choose a fitness app or opt for entertainment is entirely up to you.

Feedback: What Did Owners of the JLL CT600 Elliptical Trainer Say?

Only a single negative review for this one, with almost all buyers (at the time of writing this) giving the maximum five stars. This matches the other ellipticals from JLL.

The negative was a customer with two broken machines. It seems fair to grumble, with the engineers looking at the second one when the comment was left.

Words which repeated in the many positive comments include sturdy / robust and ‘easy to assemble.’ Multiple people mentioned commercial / public gym quality. One person said they had been using ellipticals for years, and that this was the best they had bought.

For the price, this is glowing feedback – more like the kind of comments you read for machines twice the price.

Wrapping Up: Is the JLL CT600 Pro Elliptical Cross Trainer Right for You?

Anyone that has experienced those no-name budget rattle trap ellipticals will know you can’t expect quality for peanuts.

When you compare the price of this big, solid machine with other commercial level brands, there is a major difference. The CT600 will last for years, making the mid-range price tag into a real bargain.

By adding your own phone or tablet, you get a HD display – a perfect accompaniment to the smooth electronically controlled resistance. Add safety, and a smooth track system for comfort while you work out.

I think JLL has done it again with the CT600 – and that those big commercial brands need to start worrying.
