Mark’s Summary: The NordicTrack X24 Treadmill has a spec that you simply won’t find outside of a commercial gym. It is designed to integrate with iFit – with live or recorded trainer-led workouts adjusting speed and incline in real time.
That incline goes up to 40% (and 6% decline) for some amazing calorie burn potential.
This is an upper end treadmill and has a price tag to match. NordicTrack lets you spread the payments – without interest. Please make sure this is suitable for you, I can advise on fitness equipment, though personal money matters is outside of my remit.
Features include NordicTrack’s best-ever cushioned running surface, a solid 20km / hour top speed and a 24” HD monitor for either iFit or entertainment.

Lots to get through with the X-24. I’ll start with the size and mechanical features, then cover iFit and the premium extra touches that make this treadmill stand out. For anyone comparing it to the other high-end models from NordicTrack, I have compared it to the best of the Commercial Treadmill range below.
This is a big model. dimensions are 177.5cm long by 96.8cm wide and 186.2cm tall (to the top of the monitor).
You’ll need a 110cm doorway to get it delivered. That should be fine for most front-doors, but do check internally – especially with stairways for loft-conversions, which can be narrow.
It is a powerful treadmill. The motor is 4.25CHP and uses NordicTrack’s SMR (silent magnetic resistance) giving you quiet and consistent power. The top speed is 20km / hour. That’s a 3 minute / km pace, which is more than enough for all but pro-athletes.
The running surface for the X25 is a full 55cm wide and 152 cm long. That is the size of treadmills you find in the gym. It’s a heavy unit, weighing in at a hefty 201 kgs boxed. NordicTrack recommends 182kgs as the maximum user weight. That’s a bit over 26 stone.
40% incline makes a massive difference to both the calorie burn and the variety of your workout. Delcine (6%) works best for the hiking workouts (see the iFit options). This makes your training more realistic, after all, its hard to run uphill only in real life.
The cushioning on the running track is next-gen. NordicTrack already came up with FlexSelect and RunnersFlex (they like joining words together!). The X24 Treadmill uses SpringFlex cushioning. This is the latest patented tech, it keeps impacts low to protect your joints long term. After all, there is no point having a fantastic treadmill if your knees are too shot to use it.
iFit not only streams live or recorded training sessions, the trainers directly control your treadmill. You get world-class trainers, a vast library of videos and the ability to tailor training to your fitness level. You can also use personal feedback from your heart rate to auto-adjust the speed and incline.
These days, iFit has a regular and pro tier at different subscription price points.
Training categories include:
Within each are multiple options, with the total workouts approaching a mind blowing ten thousand. You can sync iFit with popular running apps, including Apple Health, Garmin, Strava and Google Fit.
iFit makes a massive difference compared to the boring runs of old. There is far too much to list here without making this X24 treadmill review crazy-long. iFit works with all the NordicTrack treadmills and you can check out the details here at the official NordicTrack website.
NordicTrack thought of just about everything with the X24 Treadmills. The cushioning, motor and impressive incline are already covered above.
You get an Autobreeze fan, which will adjust the cooling / power to match the intensity of your run. There is a USB-C charging port, along with Bluetooth for connecting your heart rate monitor and headphones. Once you include your heart rate, you can use ‘ActivePulse’, which allows you to target heart-rate zones while you run.
Smaller (but important) extras are two water bottle holders, premium built-in speakers and the ability to pivot the screen for floor workouts.
This is a new model, so I’ll add feedback from the range of NordicTrack treadmills while we wait for individual reviews to come in.
What shines through with feedback for the entire NordicTrack range is that the quality is always there. These are solid machines which wont rattle like the no-brand (toys) you find online these days. Multiple people note the size difference, so make sure you have plenty of room. Individual compliments come in for the various cushioned running surfaces too.
iFit is a huge success, and the feedback for it is always glowing. Keep in mind that it is optional, you can use pre-programmed workouts and use the HD monitor as a TV if that works better for you!
While this is the top of the range of all the impressive NordicTrack treadmills, it does have come rivals.
Here they are:
There are some lower-priced models (and the legacy T-Series) in the NordicTrack treadmills range. I have left those out as a comparison with the amazing X24 does not really make sense.
The X24 is built to last for years, meaning the bigger price will quickly translate into excellent value over time.
Outside of a commercial gym, you simply won’t find a better machine. This covers the size of the running track, incline / decline, speed and quiet cushioned surface.
When you combine the spec with the options from iFit, things move to the next level. There are enough workouts to last you a lifetime – from unfit beginner to marathon ready. Note that a separate subscription is needed for this.
I love NordicTrack (a user for years now!) and would love to replace my current model with an X24.
