Summary: The recumbent exercise bike from Sunny Health and Fitness does all the basics well. It is not a flashy, feature-rich bike like those you will find in a commercial gym. Instead you get a comfortable seat, monitor and 8 levels of resistance to vary your workout. This is perfect for users that want gentle exercise, and do not want to sit perched on top of a spinner bike while they do it.
Sunny Health and Fitness have a fantastic reputation for practical machines – often aimed at older users or those returning to fitness. It will come as no surprise to those that know this brand that the feedback from owners has been positive. Value for money was mentioned over and over again.

You get a wide seat, which has back support with this bike. It is 116.8cms long, by 62.2 wide and 96.5 high at the top of the console. The padded set slides backwards, so you can find the most comfortable position before you peddle. Handlebars are placed on either side of the seat.
The unit has wide bars underneath at both ends. These give you a stable base. There are wheels at the front. They allow you to move it around by lifting the back and steering it into place. Minimal assembly is needed for this bike.
It weights in at 59lbs total, and the maximum user weight is listed at 300lbs (more than 21 stone).
Small touches make Sunny Fitness products stand out. There is a smaller bar at the front on this model. You can sit forward and use this, though it is most useful when you get on and off of the exercise bike. The pedals are self-levelling too.
There are 8 levels of resistance to go through. You make peddling harder or easier by turning a dial which sits just under the console at the front of the machine.
Sunny Fitness use ‘digital monitor’ in their marketing. This is a basic display compared to those you will get on more expensive recumbent bikes. It scrolls through the key information as you work out. It will show the time spent working out, current speed, distance travelled, and calories burned. While this console will not remember your last workouts, it can be a great way of setting targets (for example to burn 100 calories before you stop).
There are pulse sensors on the handlebars. You can use these to check your heart rate at any point during a ride.
A lot of feedback for this product. Overall, hugely positive – especially considering the lower price point. Value for money came up again and again. This does tie-in with the feedback for other Sunny Heath and Fitness machines (for example their walking manual treadmills). Easy assembly got multiple mentions, and the word ‘comfortable’ was also common.
Not too many negatives to report, the odd late delivery or damaged units of course. You get a warranty, and Sunny Fitness do send replacements fast should this happen to you. Squeaks came up – so you might want to order a can of WD40 just in case.
While the feedback is positive, things change fast in the world of home fitness equipment. Check out the latest comments for yourself, whichever home exercise bike you end up getting.
A lower price item designed to do the basics well – and yet another hit from Sunny Health and Fitness. This bike gives you a workout while you are seated with a back rest. It is adjustable, stable, and easy to use. Many buyers are older, or just starting on the road to fitness. While it does not have the cool looks of a spinner bike, this recumbent bike is more than capable of giving you a decent workout.
Feedback from buyers has been hugely positive.
At this price point and with the reputation of Sunny Fitness, this is a recumbent bike that I would find impossible not to recommend.
